This is a blog dedicated to introducing and supporting the spirit bear!

Why is the bear so white? Is it a polar bear? Or an albino?

Neither is correct. It is originally a Kermode (black) bear, born white because of genetics. They only live in BC and are better able to catch salmon than other bears.
