HOLLYWOOD FILM

• A major Hollywood animated motion picture is in the process of being produced. Several people have teamed together to work on this film, including big names such as Italia Gandolfo, a CGI animation producer who worked with Disney to produce films such as Lion King and Little Mermaid.

The main character is Mokie, a baby spirit bear.

He Lade Productions is working in conjunction with the Spirit Bear Youth Coalition, and every ticket sold goes to saving the spirit bears by funding economic diversification projects in the rainforest.

OLYMPIC MASCOT

– Miga is an Olympic mascot for the Vancouver 2010 Games.

 

Miga was inspired by the local mythology of the Pacific Northwest First Nations; she is a “sea bear” – part killer whale and part Spirit Bear.

 

Legend has it that orca whales would transform on land into the rare Kermode or Spirit Bear.
